KINDD - Kids In Need During Disasters

The oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico has been devastating to many families in the region who have already faced unprecedented challenges in recent years due to Hurricane Katrina and the economy.  This disaster has affected more than wildlife………it has affected our most precious resource, our CHILDREN.

As consumers of petroleum products, therefore supporters of the Petroleum Industry, it is our responsibility to help those affected.  The United States Government has forced BP to set aside funds for distribution, but those affected cannot wait for the funds to be filtered through the bureaucratic process.  These families have children to support.

A non-profit fund called KINDD, Kids In Need During Disasters, has been set up to care for the immediate needs for the educational well being of children pre-k through 12th grade. In partnership with the Northshore Community Foundation our intention is to provide school supplies, uniforms and any peripheral needs that may arise that will assist with the educational process.  In Louisiana, school resumes in early August. Our need for funds is urgent so that the supplies and uniforms can be distributed before school resumes.

The First Lady of Louisiana Supriya Jindal and her foundation, The Supriya Jindal Foundation for the Children of Louisiana, have graciously partnered with KINDD in an effort to expedite the process. Our initial target schools are in South Louisiana but will migrate toward the Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida coastline as the needs arise and fund become available.

We sincerely appreciate your generosity and kindness!

No Donation is too small.
