MISSION

This Fund shall develop resources to support expanded options for an increased access to homeownership in the northshore region.


PURPOSE

To engage the Northshore area community in support of workforce stability through homeownership.


INFORMATION

 Through donations of land, funds or other resources individuals and businesses will support economic stability through homeownership opportunities for essential service workers. Donations will benefit existing and new non-profit organizations on the Northshore in creating affordability of homeownership.


These organizations include but are not limited to:

East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity - Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans.


Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West - Provides qualified partner families in our community the opportunity to purchase a simple, decent, affordable home with a zero-interest mortgage.


Northshore Housing Initiative Community Land Trust - The community land trust model allows the moderate-income homebuyer to purchase a house while the community land trust invests in ownership of the land.
