Our region is blessed in that we are home to some of the most caring and well-educated people you could ask for. Some of our challenges involve our community of persons with disabilities. Lucky for us there is a wealth of knowledge and resources out there just waiting to be tapped.

Exceptional Lives - Offering free, easy-to-use resources with the best benefits and services in the state for children and families touched by disability. 

NAMI St. Tammany - Education, support, resources, and advocacy for individuals living with mental illness, their families and the community.

Live Oak Children's Hospital - a place where families can receive a variety of services that address the emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of children. 

OPTIONS - Services for people with disabilities.

La. Dept. of Health Developmental Disabilities - Single Point of Entry into the developmental disabilities services system and oversees public and private residential services and other services for people with developmental disabilities.

Florida Parishes Human Services Authority - Helping people of Florida Parishes be empowered to lead meaningful and productive lives among friends, relatives, and neighbors regardless of behavioral health needs or developmental disabilities.

Northshore Families Helping Families - Information, education and support for families affected by disability.

STARC of La. - Providing a lifetime of services, training, advocacy, resources, and community connections for individuals with disABILITIES.

Miracle League Northshore - To provide any disabled child, regardless of their level of disability, the opportunity to play league sports and enjoy the emotional and physical benefits of being part of a team sport.

ViaLink 2-1-1 - Provides information, referrals, training, and crisis intervention to people, organizations, and communities so they can help themselves and others.

SLU Lions Connected - Provide a personalized, post-secondary educational experience for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities by immersing students into the “College Experience” while preparing them for vocational opportunities.

Special Olympics Louisiana -  To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
