Creative Relief Northshore Fund

Background

The St. Tammany Commission on Cultural Affairs’ is one of nine Regional Art Councils in the State Louisiana as designated by the Louisiana Division of the Arts. Our mission is to nurture, sustain, and enhance the arts in St. Tammany Parish. Creative Relief Louisiana was established in August 2016, following the major floods that occurred in the southern regions of the state. Through Creative Relief, Louisiana's Regional Arts Councils were able to identify artists and arts organizations who had lost or incurred damage, to address their needs and provide replacement materials. Louisiana's Regional Arts Councils have continued and expanded their Creative Relief efforts to help artists and arts organizations in a variety of ways providing direct assistance in their time of need.

Purpose

In response to the economic impact of COVID-19 on the arts community in our Parish, the Commission on Cultural Affairs has identified the need for an emergency relief fund to accompany and further advance its relief efforts.

Mission

Creative Relief Northshore is an emergency response initiative that provides funding for a wide variety of programs aimed to address the needs of the arts community following an emergency or disaster.
