Donna Kahl Manetta Scholarship Fund

The Donna Kahl Manetta Scholarship Fund was established in 2019 by former students of Slidell High School to honor Mrs. Manetta’s legacy created during 35 years of exemplary teaching. 

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior of Slidell High School who has demonstrated a record of service to the school and the surrounding community.

Mrs. Manetta’s dedication to her community reveals a selflessness and consideration for others that is truly rare.  She maintained her passion and enthusiasm from her first days in the classroom to her last days - never dwindling and always reflecting on how to improve and meet her ever-changing students’ needs. 

Mrs. Manetta’s impact as a teacher will echo forever in the halls of Slidell High School and the broader Slidell community. With the establishment of this scholarship, she will continue to be a blessing to the students that she loved so much.
