On September 20, 2019 our lives were changed forever.  We lost our real-life HERO.

Upon hearing over the police radio, that one of his police officers was in a vehicle pursuit, Captain Vincent N. Liberto, Jr. immediately, and without hesitation, responded to assist. This heroic act ultimately lead to him being shot and killed by the suspect as he was fleeing the scene.  He is survived by his wife, their seven children, their three grandsons, and a community he deeply cared for.

Family and community were the most important part of Captain Liberto’s life. He had such a passion for serving and protecting the community of Mandeville, Louisiana, where he raised his family which he did with honor and loyalty.

The Captain Vincent N. Liberto Jr. Memorial Fund was created by the Liberto Family to help other families of fallen First Responders, military personnel, and the amazing organization Tunnels2Towers.
