Competitive Grants

We Make Grants in Two Ways:

  • On behalf of people who have charitable checkbooks, also know as funds with us
  • During open grant cycles to organizations that apply for competitive grants

Competitive grant applications are open to nonprofit organizations in good standing with the IRS and secretary of state.

Dick Knight Award

The Dick Knight Award honors the late Richard F. “Dick” Knight, a founding board member of Northshore Community Foundation. Qualifying nominees should have significant tenure working in the nonprofit sector and notable demonstration of diligence, commitment, resilience, vision, and excellence.

Organization Fund

Nonprofit organizations can take advantage of our sophisticated portfolio management. We offer this investment opportunity to our partners so their money can grow and their missions can be better served. Opening an organization fund will allow you to receive comprehensive asset management, cost-effective investment solutions, and complicated gift acceptance. While the Foundation holds and manages these funds, nonprofits can withdraw at will, helping their money grow and better serve their mission.

Northshare

Northshare is a nonprofit campus that provides education and space for organizations driven by the greater good. It is a crucial mission of the Northshore Community Foundation and we are proud that several nonprofit organizations call this building their home. In addition to offering special classes, programs, and events open to local nonprofits, we also provide a free state of the art conference room for their use.
