Barbara T. Wilcox Scholarship for Excellence in Mathematics
Purpose
The Barbara T. Wilcox Scholarship for Excellence in Mathematics was established in 2023 to honor the legacy of Mrs. Barbara Wilcox and her teaching of Mathematics at Slidell High School. Mrs. Wilcox’s love for mathematics and love for her students resulted in a career that spanned 20+ years teaching Advanced Math, Trigonometry, Algebra and Calculus. Mrs. Wilcox enjoyed explaining complex topics to eager minds such as “Quadratic Equations” and the satisfaction of seeing these student’s work problems and obtain the correct solution.
