2026 CIVIC BEES COMPETITION
Date and location to be announced soon!
Civics plays a crucial role in shaping our country’s future, so the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host the regional competition for the 2026 National Civics Bee®.
The National Civics Bee is a nationwide competition that encourages 6th, 7th and 8th grade students to explore civics, engage in their communities, and learn respectful dialogue.
We’re proud to bring the Bee to South Louisiana for the 2025–2026 school year, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Students begin with a written essay and advance through live, non-partisan regional, state, and national rounds. Winners at each competition will earn cash prizes, and national finalists will advance to compete in Washington, D.C. for a $100,000 education savings contribution. State champions’ schools also receive $5,000.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, the National Civics Bee is more than a competition—it’s a movement to strengthen our country, our economy, and our workforce from the ground up.
