Community Impact

Enhancing the quality of life on the Northshore

Giving drives our actions. People inspire our purpose.

Many of the important issues facing our region are bigger than any one organization can address. That is where we come in. We convene partners and leverage resources to address our region’s greatest needs and seize opportunities.

Scholarships

We manage scholarship funds established by generous donors to help deserving students in the Northshore region pursue their educational goals, from high school through graduate school. By aligning our donors’ passion for local schools and colleges with the needs of students in our communities, we create life-changing opportunities for young people across the Northshore.

If you have any questions about our scholarship opportunities or opening a scholarship fund with the Foundation, email us.

Regional Advisory Committees

Regional Advisory Committees (RACs), one for each parish on the Northshore, have been established to focus efforts across the area we serve through a dynamic, strategic planning process. These committees advise the Foundation on the most pressing needs within their parish and assist in identifying the community resources the Foundation can bring together to assist with those needs.

Youth in Philanthropy

The Youth in Philanthropy initiative, facilitated by the Foundation, empowers area high school students to engage in charitable activities and develop leadership skills. Participants learn about philanthropy, community needs, and the grantmaking process, enabling them to make informed decisions about funding local projects. This program fosters a sense of civic responsibility and encourages a lifelong commitment to giving back. Through hands-on experiences, participating high schoolers gain valuable insights into nonprofit operations and the impact of community service, preparing them to become future leaders and philanthropists.
