Grant’s Gift Foundation Grants

The Mission

The mission of Grant’s Gift Foundation is to provide resources to children with special mental and/or physical needs in an effort to improve the quality of their lives. Our focus is to provide goods and/or services to children and their families who might not otherwise have the financial ability to obtain them on their own. We want to enrich the lives of these special children so that they can enjoy many of the things that we all take for granted, and ultimately help each one of them reach their true potential.

Description

Michael and Angie de la Houssaye are the proud parents of the one-and-only, Grant, a child with special needs, and they realized that for Grant to enjoy a simple bike ride with his parents and two siblings, they needed to purchase him a custom bike. However, adaptive bicycles that allow children with special needs to be more independent and in control are very expensive. Michael and Angie started the Foundation to help others in similar situations as they are and have granted special bikes, adaptive iPads, Service animals, and more to eligible families. Families can easily apply for assistance, accessing a range of resources and services tailored to their specific needs.

Evaluation Process

Only children and families based in Louisiana are eligible to receive gift requests.
