Payton Elizabeth Strain Memorial (P.S. We Miss You)
The P.S. We Miss You Fund is to commemorate the memory of people in the community who have passed away. Our goal is for children to turn empathy into action by supporting initiatives that offer aid to at-risk youth, including those with physical and cognitive disabilities or those living in economically disadvantaged households.
Payton Elizabeth Strain was a ball of energy who loved the color purple and was the life of every party. She loved barrel racing and especially her horse, Jack. She played softball, loved to swim and was always listening to music and dancing to Tik Toks. The world is a lot quieter without Payton and will be missed by everyone who loved her. The P.S. We Miss You Fund sponsored a child with special needs, who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford the cost, with horseback riding lessons for the 2024 calendar year at New Heights Therapy Center in Folsom, LA in Payton’s memory.
Fund Impact:
Madison Elizabeth Ronquille was a determined girl who loved playing at the Miracle League, shopping and the color purple. She was strong willed and enjoyed music, dancing and school. Her favorite person was her twin brother. She was known for her hair bow collection and her nickname “Hot Mess.” The P.S. We Miss You Fund sponsored a Miracle League baseball team in memory of Madison for the Fall 2024 season.
The P.S. We Miss You Fund has made a donation to the Saint Peter Angel Tree in memory of Ruth Prats and Father Otis Young. They have also purchased a vase for Father Otis’ gravesite at the Saint Joseph Abbey. Ruth Prats was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend who dedicated 40 years of service to St. Peter Church. Father Otis Young was a devoted brother, uncle and priest of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The pair became dear friends, spent countless hours helping others and started the Angel Tree at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Covington together.
