Come enjoy a spring time festival of fun benefitting the St. Tammany Early Childhood Ready Start Network. It will be an afternoon of family fun, food, and entertainment! There will be MANY hands-on activities and games for the children, giveaways, dancing, music, and more. Activities include face painting, an Easter egg scavenger hunt, special dance performances with the kids, and interactive demonstrations from sponsors.
Mission of the Fund: To enhance Early Childhood Care and Education by supporting programs and initiatives that provide tuition assistance to qualifying families enabling children to attend high-quality early learning centers within the St. Tammany Early Childhood Ready Start Network.
Through donations and community events, the Ready Start Network hopes to grow: support in the local community, partnerships with businesses and organizations, our brand within the parish, and the number of seats available for disadvantaged children ages birth – 3 years in order for their parent(s) to work and/or attend school.
Goals of the Ready Start Network:
- Goal 1: Increase the availability of infant and toddler seats throughout the parish
- Goal 2: Increase staff quantity and quality at programs within the Network
- Goal 3: Enhance parental engagement in children’s education and development
- Goal 4: Enhance community awareness and support for the St Tammany Early Childhood Ready Start Network
- Goal 5: Explore community and grant funding opportunities, promote the School Readiness Tax Credit (SRTC), and organize fundraising events that support the Network’s goals
