What are Impact Funds?
Impact Funds bring people together around issues that no single organization can solve alone. By aligning generosity around a shared purpose, they create a way for donors, nonprofits, and community leaders to invest collectively in the needs that matter most.
Community foundations across the country steward Impact Funds as a way to pool resources, encourage collaboration, and move meaningful work forward. Through these funds, communities can focus support where it’s needed most and strengthen the organizations working every day to make a difference.

The first Impact Fund at Northshore Community Foundation was created to protect and invest in youth across our region. Seeded through a Qualified Charitable Distribution from their IRA, the fund began with a generous gift from a donor who deeply believes in the importance of supporting children and investing in the next generation.
