Nominate a Leader

Sylvia Bush has received the 8th Annual Dick Knight Award.

Sylvia Bush began her nonprofit journey in 1979, hired by a small group of parents who believed in her vision that people with disabilities deserve the opportunity to live, work, and thrive in their communities. Under her leadership, OPTIONS grew from a small church-based program to a cornerstone of support services in the region. She played a key role in launching residential programs, employment initiatives, and other services that previously didn’t exist. Bush’s steadfast efforts have transformed lives and shaped the future for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her impact extends beyond Options, Inc.—her advocacy efforts have influenced policies and programs across the state.
