Claire Moss Memorial Scholarship in Education Fund

Purpose

Established in 2025, the Claire Moss Memorial Scholarship in Education Fund is designed to support graduating seniors from public high schools in St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, or Washington Parishes who demonstrate financial need and are pursuing a degree in education. The mission of this fund is to empower the next generation of educators to make positive impact on their communities through education and music.

Eligibility Details

The number of recipients to be awarded is determined annually. Recipients are selected from those who apply based on the eligibility criteria outlined. This is a renewable award with an annual scholarship of $2500. Applicants must re-apply annually.

  • Graduating senior from a public high school in St. Tammany, Washington, or Tangipahoa Parish.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Pursing degree in Education.
  • Preferences:
    • Students who plan to major in music education
    • Students who have participated in the Educators Rising program
    • Students who plan to enroll in a public university
